Summer Is Coming

The ski season in Telluride has officially ended but we are enjoying a few BONUS days this week courtesy of the Telluride Ski Resort and Dave Reilly. Thanks Telski!!!

This week those of us still here are watching the daily exodus of Telluride locals heading out to the deserts of Moab Utah, Baja Mexico, Costa Rica and other exotic destinations. Many with their Mountain Bikes, Kayaks, River Rafts, and Surf Boards in tow! We are looking forward to our turn to head out.

Ray is off to sunny Florida with his family. Kelly and I are heading down to Texas and hope to check out the San Antonio Fiesta and go Sea Kayaking near South Padre Island. We are all jealous of Maite wqho is going to Argentina and Chile to do some backpacking and work on a wine vineyard for a few weeks.

Although we are taking turns to getaway, the lodging and property management business in Telluride never let's us stay away too long. We are organizing a number of specials and deals for summer vacation visitors and updating our website www.elevationvacations.com with fresh pictures of wildflowers, waterfalls, and rainbows -- all taken in specatcular locations right here at home.

Perhaps the best part of getting away from Telluride and the lodging business for off season is coming back home to this beautiful place, seeing the days turn longer and warmer, and catching back up with our good friends who live and visit us here!

After years of having to explain that I went to a small-ish state university in an upstate New York rust-belt city, the school for those NY kids who either just barely weren't accepted or couldn't afford Cornell -- I can finally feel validated that I really did go to a real college!

Binghamton won the semis of the American East tournament today and is sheduled to play next Saturday in the championship. If they win they get an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. It's going to be broadcast at 11am on ESPN2.

Anyone wanna have a tailgate party???

The mountain has received 14 inches of fresh snow in the last week adding to our already abundant conditions. Remember, March is historically our biggest snow month so don't miss out on our incredible end of the season rates and specials. The markets may be ugly at the moment but the views in Telluride remain breathtaking. Come enjoy them with us this season.

Raining in Mountain Village

The bad news is that it is raining in the Mountain Village at the moment. The good news is that it's snowing at the top of the mountain!! We are expecting snow on and off in the forecast for the next 10 days. Be sure to check out our website for some unbelievable last minute specials this season. Take advantage while you can.
